Peskov Comments on Macron's Statement Regarding Possibility of Sending Troops to Ukraine
The Kremlin has taken note of French President Emmanuel Macron's statement regarding the possibility of sending troops from Western countries to Ukraine. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, in response to a question from TASS.
"The fact that the option of sending certain military contingents from NATO countries to Ukraine is being discussed is, of course, very important; it is a new element. All other elements of the French president's speech have been heard and accepted as such. We are well aware of Mr. Macron's stance on the necessity of delivering a strategic defeat to Russia," Peskov added, stating, "But we have paid attention to the fact that the issue of sending military personnel to Ukraine has indeed been discussed." Previously, it was reported that French President Emmanuel Macron had not ruled out the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine in the future.
