Netanyahu Identifies Possible Path to Peace
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the decision made by the Knesset (Israeli parliament) to reject the "mandate" for the establishment of a Palestinian state and stated that peace can only be achieved through negotiations between the parties. This statement was issued by the Prime Minister's Office.
According to TASS, Netanyahu said, "With a historic decision, a significant majority, the Knesset has supported my proposal. Out of 120 members, 99 voted against the unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state. This decisive stance sends a strong message to the world: Israel's peace and security will be achieved through negotiations, not unilateral actions."
