Concerns Raised Over Potential Harassment of Poor Carlson Before Interview: Peskov
Thacker Carlson feels uncomfortable in the West due to his interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but this work has increased the American journalist's popularity; this was stated by the spokesperson for the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov. The information was reported by TASS.
“Given that the collective West is becoming increasingly unpredictable, they truly do not shy away from anything whatsoever. Therefore, of course, there were certain concerns that even before the start of the interview there would be some kind of harassment against this poor Carlson. But on the other hand, being a fairly intelligent person, I believe he anticipated that there would be such intensity of passions. But for the sake of fairness, it should be said that this interview has significantly enhanced his popularity,” Peskov said.
It is worth noting that Putin's interview with Carlson was published on the night of February 9. Much of the two-hour conversation was dedicated to the Ukrainian conflict and Russia's relations with the United States, NATO, and the West in general.
