Emergency Services Respond to Fire in Warehouse Area on Tbilisi Highway
On February 10, at 09:40, the National Crisis Management Center received reports of a fire that broke out in a warehouse area located on Tbilisi Highway in Yerevan.
Emergency services dispatched twelve fire and rescue units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, along with two ladder trucks, personnel from the firefighting and rescue operations division, operational teams from the National Crisis Management Center, medical support groups, and a psychologist from the Psychological Support Division, as well as a vehicle from the gas protection service.
Preliminary data indicates that the fire ignited in a section of the warehouse covering an area of 6,000 square meters within a total of 25,000 square meters. Firefighting efforts are currently underway.
Present at the scene are Kamo Tsutulyan, Deputy Minister and Director of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as several deputy directors and heads of various departments, including Colonel E. Karapetyan and Colonel T. Petrosyan, along with Colonel A. Gevorgyan, head of the Rescue Forces Division, and Colonel A. Kirakosyan, head of the Yerevan Rescue Division.
