Scholz Calls on EU Partners to Provide More Assistance to Ukraine
The Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, has urged EU countries to provide more assistance to Ukraine, according to the Tagesschau portal.
“Scholz again warned his 26 EU partners about the need to provide more military aid to Ukraine. If the message to Russia is that the West is united in helping Ukraine and will not give up, then ‘peace could be possible sooner than we think today,’” said Scholz.
He stated that Germany would not abandon its commitments but would not do more “so that others continue to do very little.”
