We Hope That Yerevan and Baku Will Soon Sign a Peace Agreement: Garibashvili

Armenia and Georgia have signed a strategic partnership agreement. This was announced by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili during a joint press conference with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“Historically, we have been very strong allies and friends, not just neighbors. We were de facto strategic partners, but today we signed a strategic partnership agreement,” said the Georgian Prime Minister.

Garibashvili noted that trade between the two countries is expected to exceed $1 billion by the end of 2023. Armenia is Georgia's sixth largest trading partner and the second largest exporter.

During the press conference, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the signing of the strategic partnership agreement is an achievement and reflects the mutual efforts and work of the last few years, illustrating the common goals and aspirations of the two countries.

The Georgian Prime Minister expressed hope that Armenia and Azerbaijan will soon sign a peace agreement, which will undoubtedly contribute to and strengthen peace in the region.
