Ukraine Conflict Becoming Ordinary for the World: UN
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, has stated that there is a growing trend worldwide to normalize the Ukrainian conflict. “I think the significant difference between this year and last is that this is no longer news around the world. There is a certain trend of getting used to the suffering of Ukrainians,” Grandi expressed his concerns in an interview with Associated Press.
RIA Novosti reports that Grandi also mentioned that discussions regarding humanitarian aid for Ukraine have been delayed due to political disputes. He urged the United States and the European Union to confirm the aid packages, adding that it is his duty to “remind everyone that humanitarian assistance should not be held hostage to politics.”
