Olaf Scholz Addresses Rumors of Early Resignation
The Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, has stated that he does not intend to resign prematurely from his position or to present a confidence vote for his government to parliament. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
Previously, several media outlets suggested that Scholz might leave the chancellor's office at the beginning of 2024, with Defense Minister Boris Pistorius considered his most likely successor. Scholz has dismissed questions about his potential resignation or a confidence vote as fairy tales. When asked if he was contemplating stepping down from everything, the chancellor responded negatively.
