Russia Ready for Negotiations on Ukraine Issues, Lavrov Says
Russia is ready for negotiations regarding Ukraine, but not on how to keep the current leaders in power in Kyiv, stated Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
"Let me remind you that we have never refused and have always maintained our readiness for negotiations. Negotiations, not about how to keep the leaders of the Kyiv regime in power and surrender to their fantasies, but about overcoming the legacy of the country’s devastating ten-year plunder and the violence against its people," Lavrov said during a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine.
