Lavrov Arrives in New York
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived in New York, where he will participate in a meeting of the UN Security Council, reports a correspondent from RIA Novosti.
Lavrov's visit to the UN is scheduled for January 22 to 24. He will take part in the quarterly open debates of the Security Council regarding the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian issue, as well as a Security Council meeting on the Ukrainian issue initiated by Russia.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov had previously told reporters that Lavrov has no plans to meet with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
