Naira Zohrabyan is founding a political party
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that there are indications that Naira Zohrabyan, the president of the NGO "Security and Democracy" and former MP from the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), may unite with a group of public and non-partisan figures to form a political party in the near future.
In an interview, Naira Zohrabyan stated that discussions are ongoing in various formats, but no final decision has been made. She mentioned, "It is clear that there is a desire to participate in the upcoming processes, whether they be snap elections or regular electoral processes. However, what format this will take is still being discussed with various proposals and discussions underway. Yes, I do not rule out the possibility that some of my colleagues and I will try to unite into one movement or party, but one thing is clear: no opposition force can fight against this calamity alone, and we must present a unified bloc or front. Only then will success be guaranteed; all other separate formats will fail. But this does not prevent forming a force and conducting negotiations with various political entities regarding presenting a united front during the electoral process.
The opposition has a chance, and that chance is to participate as a single front since Nikol's rating is currently at a historic minimum in international matters."
According to preliminary information, discussions with Zohrabyan include Gevorg Petrosyan, Khachik Manukyan, Hovhannes Galstyan, and others.
