Cracks are Emerging in Samvel Babayan's Team: 'Hraparak'
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports that cracks are emerging in Samvel Babayan's team, with differing opinions regarding his activities in Armenia within the parliamentary faction. Two days ago, during a closed session of the Artsakh National Assembly, Babayan's 'United Homeland' faction member, Gohar Sargsyan, decided to leave the faction, a decision confirmed by the Artsakh National Assembly.
We have been informed that the Acting Speaker of the National Assembly, Gagik Baghunts, who is also from Babayan's party, has also stepped aside. It is noteworthy that the Artsakh National Assembly session was closed, which has been kept confidential. Following the forced relocation to Armenia, this marks the second session where the National Assembly deputies of Artsakh have seemingly succumbed to pressures and blackmail from Armenian authorities, with the threat that maintaining the state institutions of Artsakh could harm the security of Armenia, prompting them to conduct secret sessions to avoid giving rise to speculation.
