It has been noted that 1 US dollar now equals 30 Turkish lira. The weakening of the Turkish currency has been ongoing for several months. Last year, the lira decreased by almost 60% against the dollar, despite the fact that the Central Bank of Turkey raised interest rates seven consecutive times.
