We Support Israel's Right to Self-Determination, Says Hungarian Foreign Minister
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, condemned the lawsuit against Israel at the International Court of Justice during a conversation with his Israeli counterpart, stating that it is absurd to accuse a country that has suffered from an attack of genocide.
He mentioned that on January 9, he congratulated Israel's new Foreign Minister Israel Katz over the phone on taking office and discussed the situation in the Middle East.
“Hungary's position remains unchanged: we support Israel's right to self-determination,” Szijjártó stated.
