WARNING: New Scam on Telegram Stealing Personal and Banking Data

A fake bot is operating on Telegram, promising to pay 50,000 AMD to every family with children. This was reported by the Personal Data Protection Agency.

“Dear citizens,

A fake bot named /социальная выплата на ребенка/ is operating on Telegram, promising to pay 50,000 AMD to every family with children. This is a scam aimed at stealing personal and banking information.

The bot will prompt you to select a bank and fill in your internet banking username and password on a fake website. By entering your username and password on that site, you will be handing them over to the scammers.

We advise you not to follow the bot's instructions and not to fill in any information on that fake website,” the message states.
