Zaluzhnyi Suggests Ukrainian Lawmakers Go to the Frontlines

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, delivered a speech at the Supreme Rada during the discussion of the mobilization law. During his address, he pointed out the shortage of soldiers in the Ukrainian military while simultaneously criticizing the proposed mobilization bill.

Zaluzhnyi disagreed with certain provisions in the document. In particular, the Commander-in-Chief opposed the inclusion of prisoners and convicts in the military. At the same time, he acknowledged the necessity of reinforcing the army and suggested that Ukrainian lawmakers should go to the frontlines if they do not ensure an adequate level of mobilization.

Zaluzhnyi promised that each mobilized individual would receive 80 days of training. He reiterated his call to "get people to him."
