We Must Correct It: Who Built the Gyms and What is Samvel Karapetyan's Connection?
The gyms in the schools of Vanadzor, which became the reason for the dismissal of high-ranking officials, were built by the company T-Construction, associated with Samvel Karapetyan, the president of the Tashir Group. This company constructed five school gyms in the Lori region, two of which are located in Vanadzor, while the others are in Stepanavan, Vardablur, and Agarak. This information was reported by hetq.am.
Founded in 2016, the first shareholder of T-Construction was Tashir Capital, which belongs to the prominent businessman Samvel Karapetyan, president of the Tashir Group. Since 2021, the shares of T-Construction have been owned by Armen Karapetyan, registered in the rural community of Lernahovit in the Lori region.
To construct the five school gyms in the Lori region, the Urban Development Committee entered into a contract worth 1 billion 44 million drams with T-Construction. The technical supervision of the construction of the gyms was carried out by Shinsertifikat LLC for 53 million drams.
In response to inquiries from Hetq, Armen Karapetyan, a shareholder of T-Construction, stated that they should correct the shortcomings noted by the Prime Minister.
