We Will Reduce Dependency on Weather Conditions: New Equipment to Be Launched at Kapan Airport in 2024
New equipment will be launched at Kapan Airport in 2024, which will reduce dependency on weather conditions. This was stated by Gnel Sanosyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia, during a press conference.
“We launched the ‘Syunik’ airport in Kapan this year, which operates regular flights on Mondays and Fridays. There have been cases where flights were not conducted due to weather conditions. Together with our partners from the Ministry of Environment, we have acquired certain navigation and hydro-meteorological equipment to be installed at the airport. In 2024, these will be operational, and we will reduce dependence on weather conditions,” said the minister.
