Individuals and Legal Entities Will Be Able to Acquire Special Demand Number Plates

On December 14, during a government meeting, the decision on "Establishing Standards for Number Plates with Special Demand for Vehicles" was adopted by the Government of Armenia (hereinafter referred to as the Decision), which will come into force on February 1, 2024, as reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The annexes approved by the decision determine the standards for number plates with special demand for vehicles registered to individuals and legal entities, as well as the meanings of the conditional symbols used in the standards.

Accordingly, the uniqueness of the number plates consists in the fact that 4 of the 5 digits of the number plate will be formed solely from the combination of the digit 0 and either of two identical or different Latin letters.

After the starting prices for the auction of the number plates as defined by the standards are set by the Minister of Internal Affairs, individuals and legal entities will have the opportunity to acquire any number plate that complies with the standards established by the Decision.

Special demand number plates for vehicles will soon be auctioned off.
