VIDEO: The Authorities Applied Certain Pressure on the Head of the Anti-Corruption Commission
During a briefing with journalists at the National Assembly, the head of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Haikuhy Harutyunyan, admitted that there was some pressure from the authorities at the beginning of her tenure, described as a phone call.
Harutyunyan did not disclose who made the call but mentioned that she informed the executive branch of the incident, after which she did not receive any similar calls.
“The pressure came in the form of that widespread call from the Soviet Union. After informing the executive branch, it absolutely did not occur again. It was just that one instance; there was a proposal for 'cooperation' regarding a specific decision, which was rejected,” Harutyunyan elaborated.
