What Acquaintances Say About the Soldier Who Died Today

Gerasim Arakelyan, who was killed as a result of gunfire opened by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces toward the Armenian position located in the Bardzruni area of the Vayots Dzor province, was from Yeghegnadzor. This was reported by NEWS.am, which obtained information from the Yeghegnadzor municipal administration.

It was reported that 31-year-old Gerasim Arakelyan held the rank of lieutenant and had a 3-year-old daughter. “He lived with his family, was very modest, and came from a good family. I can only speak well of him,” noted a staff member from the municipal administration.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that today at 14:35, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire toward the Armenian position located in the Bardzruni area (Vayots Dzor province), resulting in a fatal gunshot wound to serviceman Gerasim Avetiki Arakelyan from military unit N of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
