Siranush Sahakyan Announces the Number of Armenian Captives in Baku
Currently, 55 Armenians are officially held in Baku. This was announced at a press conference by Siranush Sahakyan, the representative for the interests of Armenian prisoners of war at the European Court of Human Rights and a human rights defender.
“We have 6 civilian captives, 41 military captives, and 8 former high-ranking political figures who are considered political prisoners. Additionally, the Azerbaijani side has captured at least 80 individuals (both military and civilian), and no steps have been taken to clarify their fate,” Sahakyan noted.
