Iran Must Cease Destabilizing Actions, Stoltenberg Warns
Iran must halt its destabilizing actions in the Middle East involving pro-Iranian forces. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, according to interfax.ru.
“We have witnessed drone and missile strikes against U.S. positions in Iraq and Syria, as well as attacks on commercial vessels. This increases the risk of escalation. Iran needs to rein in its proxy forces,” Stoltenberg noted.
According to Stoltenberg, the actions of pro-Iranian forces are taking place against the backdrop of NATO's large-scale presence in the Middle East.
