Israel Decides to Evacuate Residents of City Near Lebanese Border
The Israeli authorities have decided to evacuate the residents of the city of Kiryat Shmona, located near the Lebanese border. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
According to the plan approved by Defense Minister Yoav Galant, the city's residents will be evacuated to hotels funded by the state.
“The Northern Command has informed the mayor about the decision made. The implementation of the plan will be managed by local authorities, the tourism ministry, and the defense ministry,” the statement said.
It is noted that after the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Israeli territory has been repeatedly shelled by the Hezbollah group operating in Lebanon.
