Biden to Confirm Military Aid Readiness to Israel
U.S. President Joe Biden will assure Israeli leadership of his willingness to meet military aid needs during his visit to Israel. This was announced by John Kirby, the National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications, during a press briefing with reporters, TASS reports.
He noted that during the meeting with Biden, the Israeli government will inform him about the situation created during the conflict, as well as its goals, plans, and intentions. Kirby stated that Biden intends to tell his Israeli counterparts that Washington does not want the conflict to expand or deepen. The U.S. aims to prevent escalation in the region, whether it is by state actors or terrorist groups.
Kirby emphasized that Biden will certainly ask Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet members about their necessary military assistance and will assure them that Washington will do everything possible to support Israel.
Earlier, reports indicated that President Biden had canceled his visit to Jordan.
