It Would Be Logical if Russia is Chosen as the Mediation Platform: Peskov
It would be logical for Armenia and Azerbaijan to choose the Russian Federation as a mediation platform. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.
He also added that the Russian Federation continues to engage in dialogue with Armenia, despite Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan not attending the CIS summit in Bishkek.
It is noteworthy that Russian President Vladimir Putin stated today at the meeting of the Council of CIS Leaders in Bishkek that Moscow is ready to organize negotiations between Baku and Yerevan for the further development of the peace plan. Putin initially proposed holding a meeting at the level of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Moscow. According to him, the ultimate objective should be a peace agreement.
