Nagorno-Karabakh Was a Barrel of Gunpowder and the Most Militarized Zone in the World: Hikmet Hajiyev
The Azerbaijani authorities have established a special government group to address comprehensive issues related to Nagorno-Karabakh. This was announced by Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and head of the foreign policy department of Ilham Aliyev's office, in an interview with Politico, as reported by RIA Novosti.
According to Hajiyev, the guarantee of humanitarian aid accessibility further demonstrates the goodwill and seriousness of the Azerbaijani government in meeting the needs of the Armenian population and ensuring a safe and dignified reintegration process.
“Nagorno-Karabakh was a barrel of gunpowder and the most militarized zone in the world. But now that is in the past. In this context, the chances for peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan are much greater,” Hajiyev stated.
