Ukraine Will Produce Weapons Together with the U.S., Zelensky

President Vladimir Zelensky has announced that there is a "long-term agreement" between the U.S. and Ukraine. “I met with President Biden and his team. There is a new defensive package that includes air defense, artillery, shells, and engineering equipment,” the president stated. “There is also a long-term agreement that we will work together to produce necessary weapons in Ukraine with the U.S. This is a new level of our unity.”

The president noted that joint production with the United States in the defense industry is a "historic event." “A new industrial base, new jobs for our two countries. In particular, Ukraine will be able to produce air defense systems,” he added.

On September 21, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced a new $128 million package for securing Ukraine, as well as $197 million in weapons and equipment.
