Alaverdi-Vanadzor Highway Closed in Both Directions

On September 12, at 13:38, a report was received at the Crisis Management Center of the Lori Regional Rescue Department, stating that an accident had occurred in the middle section of the second tunnel of the Alaverdi-Vanadzor highway, involving a passenger vehicle and a freight truck. This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue service.

A firefighting and rescue team from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene. It was found that at kilometer 24 of the Alaverdi-Vanadzor highway, inside the tunnel, a freight truck of the brand “Iveco” collided with a car of the brand “Renault”. The tunnel is currently closed in both directions.
