VIDEO: Devastating Forest Fires in Greece Claim 21 Lives

In the northeastern region of Greece, rescuers have discovered another body in the aftermath of major forest fires, bringing the total death toll to 21. This information was reported by the Associated Press.

The authorities believe that the deceased were migrants who had crossed the border from Turkey. A group is currently working on identifying the victims.

Earlier reports indicated that intense forest fires have been raging in the Alexandroupolis area since August 19. On August 21, evacuation messages were sent via the emergency services' 112 hotline. Notifications were also transmitted to the mobile phones of foreign networks in the affected area.
