Al Jazeera Journalist Attacked Near Wagner Center in St. Petersburg
An unknown assailant attacked Rania Dridi, a Palestinian journalist for Al Jazeera, near the former Wagner Center on Zolnaya Street in St. Petersburg. The incident occurred on August 25, as reported by Fontanka.
According to reports, the assailant struck the 41-year-old journalist on the head. Dridi described the attacker as a man of Slavic appearance, wearing jeans and a black jacket, and roughly 30 years old.
Following the incident, the foreign national was hospitalized, where she was diagnosed with a closed head injury and a concussion.
