Tension in Tsaghkadzor: Firduci Residents Protest
Residents of Firduci staged a protest today in front of the second building of the Yerevan City Hall. They wanted to meet with the director of the City Hall's Project Implementation Office, Shoghik Yeranyan. This was reported by Oragir.News.
The police prevented the residents from entering the City Hall building, and Shoghik Yeranyan never came down to meet them. As frustrations boiled over, one resident began shouting, urging, "Shoghik, come down!"
“She should come down and answer for her illegal actions. On January 13, they sent the police to our houses to break them, and now they want to use force again,” a resident stated in an interview with the media.
Later, the Firduci residents were informed that Yeranyan would meet with a few of them, but she refused to meet with others, saying that she was not handling their issues.
