Peskov's Response to the Question of Whether Russia Seeks to Acquire More Ukrainian Territories
Russia aims to control all regions currently outlined in the country's Constitution. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation. This information comes from RIA Novosti.
Peskov was responding to a question from the New York Times about whether Russia seeks to acquire more Ukrainian territories. “No. We simply want to control all the territories that are currently written in our Constitution as ours,” Peskov said.
The source site reminds that the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, were included in the list of subjects of the Russian Federation in the Constitution in October 2022.
