Blinken: Navalny Must Be Released
The United States strongly condemns the politically motivated sentencing of opposition figure Alexei Navalny. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
"The Kremlin cannot silence the truth. Navalny must be released," Blinken wrote on his Twitter page.
Earlier, it was reported that the Moscow City Court sentenced opposition leader Alexei Navalny to 19 years in prison for creating an 'extremist organization,' which he will serve in a high-security penal facility.
