Fight and Stabbing Occur Due to Disturbance of a Sister
A dispute has occurred among young people aged 16-19 in Hrazdan, caused by one of the youths disturbing another's sister. The information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
The incident took place on July 29, with the notification received from Hrazdan Medical Center around 23:38. A 19-year-old male was transported for medical assistance with a chest wound, who initially claimed he had fallen from a height.
The young man was transferred from Hrazdan to the "Saint Grigor Lusavorich" Medical Center in Yerevan. Police determined that the injury was inflicted by a sharp cutting-piercing object, and not from a fall. Through rapid operational-investigative measures, it was revealed that a conflict had taken place between young people aged 16-19 near a building in the Mikrashen neighborhood; four against two. The argument stemmed from the disturbance caused to one of the youths' sisters. The dispute escalated into a brawl, during which the 19-year-old was stabbed,” the report stated.
In response to the incident, a criminal case has been initiated by the Kotayk regional investigative department. The weapon used in the crime, a knife, has been discovered and confiscated. As a result of explanatory efforts by the Hrazdan police, the individual who carried out the stabbing voluntarily presented himself to the investigative department on August 2 and provided a testimony. He has been arrested and transferred to a detention facility. The investigation is ongoing to clarify the circumstances.
