‘The Progress is Obvious’: Medvedev on Donald Trump’s Court Case
Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev commented on the case of former US President Donald Trump, stating it is a sign of progress that undesirable candidates for the presidency in the United States are now subjected to criminal prosecution instead of being killed. He shared this insight on his Twitter page.
“In the past, undesirable candidates for the presidency in the US were simply killed. Now they are being prosecuted, charges are being filed,” Medvedev wrote. He noted that “the progress is obvious.”
According to Reuters, the indictment against Trump includes four counts. The former president is accused of conspiracy to deceive the government and obstructing an investigation, as well as violating the right of voters to fair elections.
