Students Block Entrance to ICRC Office in Armenia, Chanting 'Freedom for Vagif Khachatryan'
Dozens of students from various universities in Armenia blocked the entrance to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) office early this morning. The students gathered outside the ICRC office, chanting "Freedom for Vagif Khachatryan" and demanding a meeting with the organization's leadership.
It is worth mentioning that earlier reports indicated that Vagif Khachatryan, one of the patients transferred from Artsakh to Armenia, was abducted by representatives of Azerbaijan's border service on July 29. The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan announced that he has been arrested. Khachatryan is accused of allegedly creating a criminal group involved in crimes against residents of the village of Meshali in the Khojaly region on December 21, 1991.
