“All former foreign ministers of Armenia can make such statements, but if the former foreign minister can bring about a breakthrough in the Nagorno-Karabakh negotiations, I believe he could have achieved that breakthrough during his tenure and made it visible to all of us,” said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a press conference in response to a journalist's question regarding former foreign minister Vardan Oskanyan's request to be given the opportunity to make a breakthrough in negotiations with Azerbaijan for the benefit of Artsakh.

“I have already provided assessments of Oskanyan’s policies, particularly concerning the Madrid Principles,” Pashinyan noted.

Pashinyan reiterated that he feels no constraint in meeting with former presidents regarding the issue of Artsakh, recalling that there was an initiative during the war, but they later refused to participate.
