Iran Supports Peace Process for Resolving Disputes Among Neighbors: Kananian
The spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kananian, has stated that the South Caucasus is a significant issue for Tehran. This was announced today, July 24, during his weekly press briefing.
"Iran supports the peace process for resolving disputes among neighbors," he said.
Kananian added, "The Armenian Foreign Minister is scheduled to visit Tehran today as part of bilateral relations, in response to the visit of his Iranian counterpart to Yerevan." He noted that the foreign ministers of Iran and Armenia will discuss cooperation in the fields of energy, economy, and consular services.
It is noteworthy that a meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Iran is currently taking place in Tehran. After the meeting, the ministers will hold a press conference.
