Zakhrova: Those Responsible for Journalist Rostislav Zhuravlyov's Brutal Retribution Will Not Escape Punishment
Those who are guilty of the brutal retribution against Russian journalist Rostislav Zhuravlyov will receive just punishment, and responsibility will also be shared by those providing cluster munitions to Kyiv. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“The perpetrators of the brutal retribution against the Russian journalist will certainly face deserved punishment. The full responsibility will be shared by those who supplied cluster munitions to their protégé in Kyiv,” the diplomat noted.
Everything indicates that the attack on the group of journalists in the Zaporizhzhia region was not accidental, Zakharova believes. She also expressed confidence that “international organizations will prefer to turn a blind eye to the vile crime against Russian journalists,” as stated in the announcement.
Recall that the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Ukrainian armed forces struck a group of journalists with cluster munitions, resulting in injuries to four media workers, who were taken to medical facilities. The shelling occurred near the village of Pyatihatski.
Additionally, photojournalist Konstantin Mikhalchevsky of RIA Novosti, journalist Roman Polshakov from Izvestia, and operator Dmitry Shikov from a television channel were also injured. All the affected individuals suffered shrapnel injuries. Journalists from TASS and VGTRK were also caught under fire.
Rostislav Zhuravlyov was also actively covering the 44-day war in Artsakh.
