Fortunately, our relations with Azerbaijan are developing. We have no border or security issues with that country. This was stated by the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri. The Iranian military officer made this announcement during a visit to regions bordering Azerbaijan by the country's army command.
He specifically noted, “Thank God, the economic ties between our two countries are developing and deepening day by day. Our visits to the border are periodic and happen annually,” stated the general.
Furthermore, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces acknowledged that, in addition to border guards, military units are also stationed along the border with Azerbaijan. “These forces are here with the aim of protecting the borders of our beloved country,” he said.
