Minsk and Tehran Sign Military Cooperation Plan
The defense ministries of Belarus and Iran have signed a memorandum of understanding and a military cooperation plan for 2023. This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense following a meeting between Defense Minister Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin and Iran's Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani in Tehran.
According to the press release, 'After the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding for military cooperation between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the current year, as well as a bilateral military cooperation plan.'
During the meeting, the heads of the defense departments exchanged views on 'current issues on the international agenda.'
