France to Grant Refugee Status to Those Avoiding Russian Army
The French asylum court has granted the right to refugee status in France for those avoiding the Russian army. This was reported by РИА Новости, citing a statement from the court.
"The court has decided that Russians who are avoiding conscription... as well as mobilized citizens who have become deserters, can obtain refugee status in France," the report states.
At the same time, as of July 11, a procedure has begun in Russia to restrict driving licenses for those who have not reported to military commissariats on time and are avoiding conscription. The document indicates that the decision to restrict the right to drive will be recorded in military registries. The Ministry of Internal Affairs will receive this information within a day. It is noted that information about such drivers will be entered into special software.
