Artsakh Armenians Face Real Threat of Physical Annihilation: President of Artsakh
Artsakh Armenians are facing a real threat of physical annihilation, stated the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, during a live broadcast.
According to him, they are forced to take into account the trilateral statement of November 9, hoping that it will at least ensure a certain stable environment for a while.
“Throughout the blockade, we have hoped that various actors in the international community would lift the blockade and prevent its further escalation. We have heard only kind words, but we still have not seen any practical implementation of the trilateral statement, the International Court of Justice orders, the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, or the calls from international organizations, individual states, and other actors,” he said.
Harutyunyan noted that Azerbaijan has never desired to engage in genuine dialogue with Artsakh. “With each decision, with each call, the situation of the people of Artsakh has become increasingly difficult, while Azerbaijan has become more and more reckless, indicating a decline in the international legal order,” he emphasized.
