Russian and Chinese Armed Forces to Conduct Joint Exercises in the Sea of Japan

According to the annual cooperation plan between the armed forces of China and Russia, the Russian Armed Forces will soon send naval and air forces to participate in the "Northern Union-2023" exercises, which will be organized by the People's Liberation Army of China in the Sea of Japan in mid-2023. "The theme of the exercises is 'Ensuring Security in Maritime Strategic Routes,' with the aim of enhancing strategic coordination between the armed forces of China and Russia, improving joint capabilities for regional peace and stability, and responding to various security challenges," the Chinese Ministry of Defense stated.
