The 'Strong Armenia' faction will raise the issue of farmers affected by Russian restrictions in parliament

The 'Strong Armenia' faction intends to hold extensive discussions in the relevant committees of the National Assembly regarding the issues arising from the restrictions imposed by Russia on Armenian agricultural products and other sectors of business. This was announced by the head of the 'Strong Armenia' faction, Narek Karapetyan, during a press briefing with reporters in parliament.

The journalist inquired about what steps the faction plans to take to raise farmers' issues in parliament and whether they are considering the possibility of organizing parliamentary hearings. 'It is very important to resolve the emerging tensions through diplomatic means. Economic peace is one of the forms of peace. We need to achieve economic peace with our main economic partner,' said Karapetyan.

He believes that the Armenian political thought is capable of finding solutions for the current situation. 'The Economic Committee and, I believe, also the Territorial Issues Committee are responsible. We will conduct extensive discussions and will propose solutions on this subject,' the head of the 'Strong Armenia' faction noted.

It should be reminded that Russia imposed restrictions on the import of many Armenian products ahead of the elections held in Armenia on June 7.
