Twitter Threatens Meta with Legal Action Over Employee Poaching

Twitter has accused Meta of "poaching" its former employees to develop an analog of the Threads social media platform. Twitter is threatening to sue Meta. This was reported by the Semafor portal.

According to the publication, Twitter spokesperson Alex Spiro sent a letter to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. In it, he accused Meta of systematically misappropriating Twitter's trade secrets and other intellectual property, as well as hiring former Twitter employees who have access to sensitive information.

"Twitter reserves all rights, including the right to seek civil and judicial remedies, to prevent any further misappropriation, disclosure, or use of its intellectual property by Meta," the letter states.

An anonymous source at Meta stated that Twitter's allegations are unfounded, claiming that there are no former Twitter employees on the Threads development team.
