Nearly Half a Million People Evacuated in Japan

Due to heavy rains, nearly half a million people in southwestern Japan have received evacuation orders today. This information has been reported by TASS, referencing NHK television.

It is noted that in the city of Kurume, around 115,000 people were given evacuation orders, with the risk of possible floods and landslides raised to level four on a five-point scale.

The situation is also complicated in the Kumamoto Prefecture in the southwest, where currently more than 360,000 individuals have been urged to evacuate.

Every summer, heavy rainfall occurs in southwestern Japan, leading to river overflows, widespread flooding, landslides, and human casualties.
