2-Year-Old Child Falls From Window in Ararat Region, Dies in Hospital
A 2-year-old child, Areg S., who fell from the window of a building on Komitas Street in Ararat city, has died at the ‘Holy Mother of God’ Medical Center. The information was confirmed to Sputnik Armenia by the medical center.
“2-year-old Areg S. died on July 1 in the morning,” the medical center reported.
It should be noted that the child was transferred to the medical center on June 26 from the 'Ararat' Medical Center.
On June 26, around 17:00, the police received a call from the 'Ararat' Medical Center reporting that a child was admitted with a diagnosis of “closed brain trauma, cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral coma, upper airway obstruction, and closed tissue hemorrhage in the occipital area” in extremely critical condition.
Police and investigators established that 2-year-old Areg S. had climbed onto the window sill while playing in his bedroom and, leaning against the mesh fixed to the open window, fell out.
