Photos: Uprooted Trees, Flooded Houses, Damaged Roofs – Consequences of Heavy Rain in Tavush
Damage caused by heavy rain and wind. On June 19, starting at 19:20, the crisis management center of the Tavush regional rescue department received numerous reports about the significant damage caused by torrential rain, hail, and wind in the city of Ijevan.
It has been noted that there are uprooted trees (on cars, houses, and gas pipes), vehicles trapped in flash floods, blocked roads from water inundation, flooded houses and structures, damaged roofs, and disruptions in electricity and gas supply networks.
Furthermore, hail and torrential rain have also harmed fruit orchards and crop areas, and incidents have been recorded in the communal energy systems.
Firefighters and rescuers have cut down and removed broken trees, and electric supply has been restored at one address. It is reported that commissions have been established in the Tavush Governor's office and the Ijevan community to assess the extent of the damage.
